Here's how Jimmy Butler found out he had been traded by the Chicago Bulls.

Jimmy Butler was overseas when he found out he had been traded.

The Chicago Bulls are sending the All-Star guard to Minnesota in exchange for Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and the No. 7 overall pick in this year's draft, which is Arizona big man Lauri Markkanen. The Timberwolves are also reportedly receiving the No. 16 overall pick in this year's draft.

Butler was reportedly in Paris when he found out he had been traded.

ESPN says Butler was notified by his agent at 2 a.m. local time. The All-Star guard had no comment when reached.

Butler was seen in France hanging out with now-former teammate Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony.
