On Wednesday night the Indiana Pacers took on the Toronto Raptors in an Eastern Conference clash. During the late stages of the second quarter, star point guard Victor Oladipo went down hard and appeared to suffer a significant injury.

Trainers immediately put a towel over Oladipo's knee, which suggests the injury is serious enough for the trainers to keep the injury out of sight for the star point guard. He had to be stretchered off the floor after going down with a non-contact injury.

Video of the play shows Oladipo going up to contest a shot from Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, but he went down awkwardly.

Once trainers saw the extent of the injury, they placed a towel over the right leg.

Here's the play.

Oladipo is the heart and soul of the Pacers and an extended absence from their star could leave the team out of the playoff race.

The star point guard leads the team in points and steals per game and is second in assists per contest.

As he was wheeled off the floor, Oladipo appeared to be wiping tears from his eyes as he waved to the crowd. Hopefully the injury looked worse than it actually was.

Stay tuned for updates on his status.
