Joey Chestnut Absolutely Dominates Food Eating Contest At NBA Game
Joey Chestnut isn't worried about saving room for Thanksgiving tomorrow...
The legendary food eating star attended Wednesday night's Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks game. While the Cavs entered Wednesday night's game an impressive 17-1, it was Chestnut who really stood out on the court. The 41-year-old hot dog eating contest legend took on some competition in a pierogi eating contest. Pierogis, for those unaware, are Polish dumplings. They're made of unleavened dough boiled in water, with something like cheese, potatoes or ground meat typically filled in the center.
Chestnut, who holds the world record for most hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes, with 83, absolutely dominated the pierogi competition on Wednesday night.
Wednesday night, Chestnut put down 47 pierogis in 90 seconds.
"Joey Chestnut puts down 47 pierogies in 90 seconds. Incredible work 😂," a fan at the Cavs vs. Hawks game tweeted out on Wednesday evening.
Everyone in the crowd seemed to be incredibly impressed by his performance.
"That’s a lot of pierogies," one fan wrote.
"I seriously could live on nothing but perogies," one fan added.
"I feel like I did that every Christmas vacation coming home to Cleveland from college," one fan added.
"Sure the Roman Empire was great, but did they have Joey Chestnut? No. USA, FTW," one fan added.
"Just watched Joey chestnut pound down 47 perogies in 2 mins. Grossest thing I’ve ever seen in my life lol," one fan added.
Unfortunately, that ended up being the highlight of the game for the Cavaliers.
Cleveland fell to Atlanta, 135-124, on Wednesday evening. The Cavs dropped to 17-2 on the season with the loss to the Eastern Conference rivals.
