On Friday afternoon, the NFL, Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid released a joint statement announcing the two players had settled their collusion lawsuit against the league. Reaction to the news has been pouring in from across the sports world.

Saturday morning, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was asked to give his opinion on the news. James has been a strong supporter of Kaepernick in his fight with the NFL and said he was "happy" to see the settlement.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin caught up with LeBron who said he was "happy [Kaepernick] won his suit." James also said he hopes Kap took home a significant amount of money from the NFL.

"I’m happy he won his suit, I hope he won a hell of a lot of money ... I hope the word of what he did lives on in not only American history but world history," James said on Saturday morning.

LeBron is gearing up to play in the All-Star game this weekend.

His first season with the Los Angeles Lakers hasn't gone as expected as the Lakers are in serious danger of missing the playoffs.

The team has to hope a few days off will give the team time to regroup for the final stretch of the season.
