The LeBron James era in Los Angeles got off to a less than stellar start as the Lakers failed to make the playoffs.
After a disappointing season, the Lakers decided to move on from head coach Luke Walton, which kicked off an embarrassing search for a head coach as several candidates passed on the opportunity.
With Frank Vogel in place, the Lakers can now focus on free agency and building a better team around LeBron.
It seems James is getting the ball rolling with a few of the league’s top players. He reportedly met with former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Kyrie Irving over the weekend.
But that’t not all.
According to Jordan Schultz, LeBron also had lunch with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook and New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.
One more notable trio: LeBron dined with Russell Westbrook — and Anthony Davis — at Nobu Malibu on Wednesday.

Davis and LeBron share an agent in Klutch’s Rich Paul and the Pelicans star has been linked to trade discussions with the Lakers.
After demanding a trade from New Orleans, Davis finished the 2018-19 season on the bench with an injury.
He became the topic of trade rumors before the NBA draft lottery was announced. However, now that the Pelicans hold the No. 1 pick, they could stick with Davis and fight for the playoffs.
