LeBron James has reportedly been in contact with several prominent NBA players ahead of this summer’s free agency, which will be critical to the Los Angeles Lakers following their disappointing 2018-19 season.
ESPN reported this week that James has been in touch with Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler, among other players, heading into this summer.
Saturday night, LeBron was spotted with another prominent player, this one being a top prospect in the 2019 NBA Draft.
James was seen with star point guard Darius Garland, who is viewed as a likely top-five pick in this June’s NBA Draft.
The Lakers have the No. 4 overall pick and Garland should be a target.

LeBron had previously fueled some Garland-to-the-Lakers speculation with an Instagram comment.
“No need to dram no more lil bro!” James wrote on Garland’s post. “It’s about to become a reality!”
Garland was a five-star point guard in the 2018 class who spent one season at Vanderbilt before leaving for the NBA Draft.
The elite guard averaged roughly 16 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists per game for the Commodores in 2018-19.
The NBA Draft is set to take place on Thursday, June 20. Some have speculated that the Lakers could use their top pick in a trade for another NBA star, though perhaps LeBron would rather play with Garland.
