LeBron James has responded to the FOX News reporter who trashed him regarding his critical comments about President Trump.
The NBA All-Star posted a simple message on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The message is accompanied with a photo.
"We will not shut up and dribble," LeBron wrote on Instagram and Twitter. He also posted on Instagram a photo of the UNINTERRUPTED office in Los Angeles.
That office features the words "I Am More Than An Athlete" spelled out in lights. Check it out:
James had criticized President Trump in a new interview for INTERRUPTED. He said the president doesn't care about the people.
“The climate is hot. The No. 1 job in America, the appointed person is someone who doesn’t understand the people. And really don’t give a f— about the people,” James said of Trump.
A FOX News host, Laura Ingraham, took issue with what James said. She spoke out against him during a segment Thursday night.
“Must they run their mouths like that? Unfortunately, a lot of kids and some adults take these ignorant comments seriously. Look, there might be a cautionary lesson in LeBron for kids: This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA. And it’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball. Oh, and LeBron and Kevin? You’re great players but no one voted for you. Millions elected Trump to be their coach. So keep the political commentary to yourself, or as someone once said, shut up and dribble,” she said.
Laura Ingraham's comments have been widely criticized, with several notable celebrities speaking out against her, defending James. She released a statement on what she said. You can read it here.
