NBA Scout On Lonzo Ball Sitting Vs. De'Aaron Fox: 'I'd Be Pissed'

One NBA scout didn't mince words when talking about Lonzo Ball.

Lonzo Ball was suspiciously absent last night during the Lakers' Summer League game versus the Kings. The matchup should've featured Ball and De'Aaron Fox in a nice little rematch, but Ball was instead on the sidelines nursing a sore groin.

If you'll recall, Fox destroyed Ball in Kentucky's Sweet Sixteen matchup versus UCLA in this year's NCAA Tournament. Fox held Ball to just 10 points, and poured in 39 of his own.

So naturally, to many it looked like Ball was ducking Fox and avoiding another potential poor performance, and even Fox responded to the news on Twitter with a face-palm emoji.

One anonymous NBA scout went so far as to say he'd be "pissed" if Ball sat out the game for his team.

Check it out:

After the game, Ball told the media the decision to sit wasn't his and that he "definitely wanted to play," per The Washington Post.

The Lakers and Kings will face off four times during the regular season, so we'll have plenty more to talk about as it pertains to the Ball-Fox rivalry once real basketball gets underway.
