Former Denver Nuggets player and current team broadcaster Scott Hastings broke news in hilarious fashion before Wednesday night's game.

During warmups prior to Denver's 125-118 win over the Indiana Pacers, Hastings was asked by Altitude TV studio host Katy Winge about the status of forward JaMychal Green, who missed Monday's game with a wrist issue but was warming up in the background.

Rather than speculate, Hastings got to the bottom of the issue on camera, turning to ask Green as he shot around if he would be playing that night.

"Hey JaMychal, you playing?" Hastings said, to which Green shook his head no.

“Why you gotta wait for all these letters and stuff to come out? Just ask the dude," Hastings said with a smile.

Now that's some solid reporting. Nice job by Hastings and kudos to Green for being honest.

Even with Green unavailable and Austin Rivers being ejected for no reason, the Nuggets beat Indiana to move to 46-31 on the season and remain in fifth place in the Western Conference.
