When the Los Angeles Clippers agreed to a trade that would land them Marcus Morris, the Western Conference powerhouse also added former All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas in the process. Unfortunately for Thomas, his stint with the Clippers didn’t last very long.
Thomas appeared in 40 games this season for the Washington Wizards, averaging 12.2 points and 3.6 assists per contest.
Ever since his stint with the Celtics, Thomas has really struggled to find a solid role in the NBA. He’s spent time with the Cavaliers, Nuggets, Lakers and Wizards.
Playing for the Clippers would give Thomas a golden opportunity at winning the NBA Finals. However, the team has reportedly waived the veteran guard, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.
It was evident though that Los Angeles didn’t have a clear vision for Thomas from the moment he was acquired.
Another contending team might want to take a chance on Thomas, who once was an elite scorer at his position.

Now that Los Angeles moved on from Thomas, the front office can turn its attention over to Darren Collison.
Collison is expected to come out of retirement very soon. He apparently wants to sign with either the Clippers or Lakers.
As for Thomas, we’ll find out soon enough if he can latch on with another team for the second half of the season.
