On Thursday night, the Boston Celtics hosted the Los Angeles Clippers in a potential preview of the NBA Finals. Both teams sit at No. 3 in their respective conference and sit just a half-game apart from each other in terms of record.
The Clippers jumped out to an early lead, holding a 32-30 advantage after the first quarter. However, the home team bounced back in the second quarter to take a 60-58 lead into halftime.
In the second quarter, the Clippers received some tough news. Star guard Paul George suffered an injury and was forced out of the game.
Unfortunately for Los Angeles, it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to get back out on the court for the second half.
According to a statement from the club, George suffered a left hamstring strain and is out for the remainder of the game.

George managed just four points in 15 minutes during action in the first half. He made just two-of-seven shots as he struggled to find his shooting touch.
It’s a tough break for the Clippers as they look to keep pace in the Western Conference.
Kawhi Leonard leads all scorers tonight with 17 points. He’ll need to don his Superman Cape if the Clippers want to come out on top.
