Last month, we saw a lot of trash-talking between Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler and Indiana Pacers forward TJ Warren. But after putting up a losing effort against the Los Angeles Clippers last night, Butler got an earful from one of Warren’s friends from LA.
Taking to Twitter after beating the Heat, Clippers guard Patrick Beverley had a harsh message for Jimmy Butler. He called out Butler for talking down Warren but being “quiet as a church mouse” against Kawhi Leonard yesterday.
@JimmyButler talk slick to buddy from the Pacers. Both games against K homie been quiet as a church mouse!!! b gangsta all the time. Goodnight

Beverley doesn’t exactly have room to mock Butler, though. He had just five points in 22 minutes for the Clippers in the winning effort.
Despite the loss, Miami is still overwhelmingly favored to come out of the Southeast. At 34-16, the Heat are 12.5 games ahead of Orlando for the division crown.
But with more than 30 games to go before the end of the season, there’s plenty of time for some more great inter-conference trash-talking. The final stretch of the season is going to be fun.
