On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in the first NBA game of the season for both teams. In a battle for Los Angeles, the Clippers crowned themselves kings with a 112-102 win - even without Paul George on the floor.

After the game was over, Clippers star Patrick Beverley had a message for the media.

He wasn't happy with the way LeBron James receives so much attention - even after losses. According to a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports, Beverley challenged the media to "report the facts" of the game.

Here's what Beverley had to say, according to Haynes:

The defensive specialist sat by himself and spoke out loud about how TV programs routinely show highlights of James in defeats, without discussing in depth the opponent that beat him. He challenged the media to report the facts instead of showing crossover highlights of one of the game’s best.

Beverley managed 10 rebounds and six assists on the night while guarding LeBron. Although Beverley failed to record a steal and ended the night with just one block, the Clippers held the King to just 18 points in 36 minutes of playing time.

LeBron declined to call the Lakers and Clippers a rivalry, but it certainly feels like one is budding.
