The Los Angeles Lakers’ early season struggles are not entirely the fault of LeBron James – far from that, actually. But when the basketball megastar makes mistakes like he did against the Toronto Raptors, people will be quick to pounce.
FOX basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb pointed out a critical move LeBron James made during the first quarter.
On the move in question, the Lakers were down 12 and James had the ball. Rather than try to turn and make a run towards the net for a layup, James attempts a behind-the-back pass that goes out of play.
Gottlieb points out here what James could have done differently.
Lebron gets ball, down 12. He hasn’t done anything, team is struggling.. does this pic.twitter.com/3elnf9pm42

It certainly wasn’t one of the smarter decisions LeBron could have made – especially given his ability to impose his will on defenders.
The Raptors went on to win the game 121-107.
LeBron finished the game with 18 points, two rebounds, and six assists in 28 minutes.
The Lakers had won four of their last six coming into the game against Toronto. The loss left LA at 4-6 on the season.
