When it comes to youth basketball, few parents are as passionate as LeBron James, and for good reason. His son LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. has quickly established himself as a stud and already has offers from major programs.
But after Bronny had a huge dunk this weekend, LeBron Sr. couldn’t help but celebrate in a big way. Unfortunately for him, the celebration has garnered a lot of criticism online.
Bronny scored a massive one-handed alley-oop dunk, with LeBron responding by storming the court in celebration, even losing a shoe in the process. Despite it being prohibited for a spectator to go onto the court, the three-time NBA champion did not suffer any consequences.
Many people on Twitter were quick to point out that such behavior would have gotten any other fan or parent kicked out.
I usually defend Lebron. And I gotta be honest if my son is ever throwing down alley oops I will probably lose my fucking mind. But this is absolutely ridiculous. This is like, bizarre childlike behavior. Whatta weirdo pic.twitter.com/9AcNqLfxao

As always, any criticism of LeBron was met by an equal or greater number of defenders. There were plenty of people who jumped to the defense of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

LeBron James has long made it known that one of his remaining NBA goals is to play alongside his son.
With each and every highlight that Bronny puts up, the likelihood that he becomes a college star and NBA player seems to go up just a little more.
It’s easy to understand why LeBron gets so excited for every big play his son makes.
