The Los Angeles Lakers need another superstar or two to pair with LeBron James, and there are a number of names being floated around as possibilities. One is emerging as a surprise candidate.
Earlier on Friday, ESPN's Jordan Schultz noted that James had been spotted with former teammate Kyrie Irving at a nightclub on Saturday. Now, James' Instagram activity makes it clear he's recruiting him.
LeBron took to Instagram on Friday and liked a post showing Irving wearing a Lakers jersey. Clearly, he's in favor of adding his former teammate to the mix.

There are a number of big-time free agents available this summer, including Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard. But the Lakers probably won't be able to land either of those players. They may have to focus on Irving, Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker.
Free agency starts on June 30 this year.
Only time will tell if James is able to land any of these players. But it's starting to look like a real possibility that Irving could return to play with James just two years after leaving him on purpose.
