The Los Angeles Lakers are in the market for a new head coach, and a new report says they may target Nick Nurse of the Toronto Raptors.

Of course, if the Lakers could land Nurse, it would be a coup. He's won 60% of his regular season games in Toronto, made the playoffs three times in four years and won an NBA title in 2019.

Additionally, Nurse is widely-respected from a tactical perspective. He would be a home-run hire for LA, but would Nurse want to leave the stability he has north of the border to step into the chaos in Tinseltown.

That's what pretty much everyone is wondering right now.

Rumors aside, Nurse's focus in the coming days will surely be on his team's Eastern Conference playoffs first round opponent, the Philadelphia 76ers.

That might be the most intriguing opening round series in the entire league. If the Lakers are truly hoping to poach Nurse, they should be rooting for Philly to win and end Toronto's season as soon as possible.
