There weren’t too many chippy moments during last night’s game between the Clippers and Lakers, but there was an interesting exchange on the sidelines involving Ty Lue and Rich Paul.
Lue was fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers shortly after leading the team to a championship. Rumors were swirling about him becoming the head coach of the Lakers, however, the team decided to go with Frank Vogel.
Since the Lakers didn’t strike a deal with Lue, the Clippers signed him to be their assistant coach.
Prior to tipoff between the two franchises in Los Angeles, Paul George was seen talking to Rich Paul, who’s the agent of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
After Paul was done chatting with the star forward for the Clippers, he extended his hand out to Lue. Instead of shaking hands with the famous agent, he stared him down and then walked away.

Clearly there is some type of conflict between Lue and Paul. Perhaps it has to do with how things were run in Cleveland when LeBron James was there.
Lue was able to get the last laugh as the Clippers defeated the Lakers in their season opener.
Neither side has commented on this situation so the NBA world is still left in the dark as to why this happened.
