Michael Jordan raised more than a few eyebrows when he said Steph Curry isn't a Hall of Famer - yet. Several players that are currently in the league chimed in on the conversation, and now, Magic Johnson has decided to give his take on it.
Jordan's comment about Curry is quite bold, especially since the star guard for the Warriors is well on his way to the Hall of Fame.
Although the former six-time champion did say that Curry isn't a Hall of Famer, Magic Johnson doesn't believe Jordan was serious when saying it.
Instead, he believes the owner of the Charlotte Hornets was simply trying to avoid a fine from the league.
"Everyone relax. We know Steph Curry is a future Hall of Famer," Johnson wrote on Twitter. "Michael Jordan couldn’t say it because he would get fined by the league."
Johnson does have experience when it comes to getting fined for comments about other teams' players.
It's still unknown if Jordan seriously meant what he said about Curry. Regardless, anything he says will automatically gain attention around the NBA because of the respect he's earned.
Curry hasn't fired back at Jordan for his remarks, but he could make a statement during Golden State's season opener on Thursday.
