Avery Bradley spent the 2019-20 season with the Western Conference and eventual NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers. This year, he’ll spend the season with last season’s Eastern Conference champions.
Bradley has reportedly made a decision on where he’ll be playing basketball this upcoming season. It looks like he’s heading to South Beach to link up with the Miami Heat for the 2020-21 season.
The Heat aren’t messing around this off-season as they try to compete for another championship. Miami fell to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games in the 2020 NBA Finals.
Avery Bradley was terrific for the Lakers during the 2019-20 regular season, providing terrific perimeter defense and above-average three-point shooting. But he opted out of the NBA’s season resumption ahead of the Orlando bubble. The Lakers were just fine without him as players like Rajon Rondo and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were excellent down the stretch.

The Lakers will look plenty different this coming season with the additions of Montrezl Harrell, Dennis Schroder and Wesley Matthews. The Heat, meanwhile, will still rely on the the player that helped them win the Eastern Conference championship last season.
Miami shocked the NBA world in the 2020 playoffs as the team made light work of the Eastern Conference. But the Heat’s youth was exposed against a veteran Lakers team.
Perhaps Bradley is the last piece Miami needs to win it all this upcoming season.
