Most of the hype surrounding this year's rookie class is directed toward Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett. However, it appears the Miami Heat found themselves a potential star in the making.

The Heat selected Tyler Herro with the 13th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. His stock was through the roof after he carried Kentucky to the Elite Eight.

Herro dominated the NBA Summer League with the Heat, earning him respect around the league. Shortly after, he proved that his summer performances weren't a fluke by having a strong preseason.

Now, the former Wildcat is showing he belongs on the main stage.

On Wednesday night, Herro dropped 14 points in his regular-season debut. In addition to showing he can score from basically anywhere on the court, the Wisconsin native proved that he's dynamic with the ball in his hands.

Herro put on such a nasty move against Grayson Allen that he nearly broke his ankles.

Fans were pretty happy that Herro crossed up Allen in large part because he has a dirty reputation.

Herro will be back in action on Saturday when the Miami Heat hit the road to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. It'll be a nice homecoming for the sharpshooting rookie.
