Report: Jamal Crawford In "Serious Talks" To Join Minnesota Timberwolves

Jamal Crawford will not be playing for Atlanta.

Jamal Crawford was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Atlanta Hawks earlier this week, but after the Hawks agreed to buyout his contract, Crawford became a free agent.

Three teams were said to be at the top of Crawford's list, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Washington.

The Cavs and LeBron James were in contact with Crawford, but it appears he's headed in a different direction.

According to Shams Charania, of The Vertical, Crawford is close to a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Crawford averaged 12.3 points and 2.3 assists per game this past season and will provide a wing-scoring threat for the Wolves, something they lacked during the 2016-17 season.
