SALT LAKE CITY, UT - FEBRUARY 18: Damian Lillard #0 of the Portland Trail Blazers is introduced during NBA All-Star Practice presented by AT&T as part of 2023 NBA All Star Weekend on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

One of the most talked-about players in the current NBA offseason has been Damian Lillard. Fans have wondered whether Lillard would finally ask out of Portland with the Trail Blazers after several seasons of the team failing to meet expectations.

Pillared has remained extremely loyal to Portland and the Trail Blazers organization, but some fans feel that his talents would be more useful on a better team.

According to a report by Sam Amick of The Athletic, Lillard would prefer to build a great team in Portland. Amick says he has two players in mind who could help him achieve the goal.

Lillard's "dream scenario" in Portland is for the team to re-sign Jerami Grant and to pick up Draymond Green.

NBA fans reacted to Lillard's suggestion for team-building on social media, and many laughed at the idea of the aforementioned roster.

"I don’t think Jerami Grant can be a teams second option and that team make a good playoff push," one fan said.

"Dame just might be as delusional as the Blazers FO," another fan said.

"Dame’s Dream is apparently getting bounced in the play in," one fan added.

"Well… let’s just hope Dame doesn’t work in some NBA front office when he retires," another fan said.

"scoot [Henderson] might b the first player to request a trade in summer league," one fan said about the No. 3 overall pick in last week's draft.

Regardless of if Lillard gets the roster he wants, most fans seem to agree that it won't be enough to make significant noise in the West this season.
