Damian Lillard has been a constant source of trade chatter all offseason. There's at least one place he doesn't want to go.

When speaking with Cam'ron and Ma$e on Underdog's "It Is What It Is" podcast, the Portland Trail Blazers point guard said he's not interested in joining the Golden State Warriors.

"I respect what they've been doing over the last eight, nine years or whatever, and I'm from there obviously," Lillard said. "That's home, but I can't go be a part of that."

Lillard called Stephen Curry the "best player in this era" behind LeBron James, so he doesn't see the point in aligning with a superstar at the same position for a team that's won four championships in the last decade.

"It don't even make sense," Lillard continued. "I'd never do nothing like that. I'd lose every year before I go."

NBA fans have often bashed superstars for chasing rings on superteams. However, many rolled their eyes at Lillard's comments amid rumors of the All-Star trying to push his way to the Miami Heat.

"He'll be taking the high road and exclusively demanding a trade to the defending Eastern Conference champs," a fan responded.

"Won't run from the grind but will only accept a trade to a team that's been to two Finals this decade," another fan said.

"The 'I'd rather lose than ring chase' stuff from a guy trying to force his way to a team that was in the Finals last season is some Charles Barkley saying he'd never do a super team nonsense," Benjamin Hoffman declared.

"Damian Lillard is the only superstar that hates winning," a fan claimed. "Dude would rather waste his career and talent in Portland than give himself a chance at winning a championship."

"He has lost every year to the Warriors," a fan said. "So when is he gonna come on over?"

Lillard's Blazers have not won a playoff series since getting swept by Golden State in the 2019 Western Conference Finals. He requested a trade this summer after averaging a career-high 32.2 points per game for a 33-win team.

Contrary to Lillard's declaration, ESPN's Ramona Shelbourne said in July that the Bay Area native was interested in a trade to the Warriors before they acquired point guard Chris Paul.

Regardless of his preferences, joining Curry and Paul in Golden State almost certainly isn't in the cards. The 33-year-old reportedly prefers to go to Miami alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
