Kevin Durant isn't the only superstar with a massive decision to make about a player option for next season. Boston Celtics center Al Horford has a potentially life-changing decision to make as well.

According to NBA insider Keith Smith, Horford remains undecided on whether to take his player option next season. However, Smith also noted that Horford would prefer to negotiate a new deal with Boston even if he does opt out.

Horford would certainly be one of the most high-profile centers to hit free agency should he decline his player option.

He is coming off his third year in Boston after signing a four-year, $113 million contract with the Celtics in 2016. Prior to that, he was a nine-year starter for the Atlanta Hawks.

Over a 12-year career, Horford has earned five All-Star selections with three of those selections in the past five years.

Over his past three years in Boston, Horford has averaged 13.5 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, and 4.6 assists per game.

While he missed the All-Star game this past year, Horford did post career-highs in field goal percentage and his free throw percentage.

If Horford doesn't accept his player option and the Celtics don't bring him back, plenty of NBA teams will be eager to bring him into the fold.
