Last week the NBA's trade deadline came and went with Anthony Davis remaining a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite a significant offer from the Los Angeles Lakers, the two sides were not able to come to an agreement before the deadline.

It makes sense from the Pelicans standpoint. The Lakers were the only team in on a potential Davis trade at the deadline, but by not trading him the Pelicans can create a bidding war headed into the 2019 season.

According to multiple reports, the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks are teams that could enter the conversation.

A deal from the Celtics would likely revolve around young star Jayson Tatum. According to a new report from ESPN, Tatum might not mind ending up in New Orleans either.

During a conversation about a potential Celtics trade for Anthony Davis, NBA insider Tim MacMahon, Tatum "wouldn't mind" being traded.

Here's what he had to say on Brian Windhorst's podcast.

"It’s gossip, but the gossip is Jayson Tatum wouldn’t mind if he’s shipped to New Orleans and has a chance to be the face of the franchise somewhere. Because he’s not going to get that opportunity in Boston, at least not in the immediate future."

Tatum is averaging 16.4 points and 6.3 rebounds in his second season with the Celtics. After finding success in his rookie year - a trip to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals - the Celtics have struggled through Tatum's second year.

And now it looks like he might not mind playing elsewhere.
