NBA Reportedly Makes Decision On 2025 All-Star Game
For the first time since 2018, the NBA All-Star game is set to be played in California.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the NBA is planning to hold the 2025 All-Star Weekend in San Francisco at Chase Center, the home of the Golden State Warriors.
It would be the first All-Star Weekend to be hosted by the Warriors since 2000, when they played in Oakland at what would become the Oracle Arena.
The next All-Star Weekend will be held in Indianapolis in 2024. The Pacers were meant to host All-Star Weekend in 2021, but the game and events were moved to a centralized hub in Atlanta amid the ongoing COVID pandemic
The Chase Center is home to one of the league's most popular teams in one of its premier markets. The arena itself is one of the newer, more state-of-the-art buildings in the NBA, so fans should have a great time visiting for All-Star Weekend.
The popular pickup-game style of team selection has been a big hit for fans at the All-Star game, with the NBA electing to hold the most recent All-Star draft right before the beginning of the game on live TV.
Giannis Antetokounmpo selected Damian Lillard with the first pick last year, and now they're teammates after Lillard's recent trade to the Bucks, which means that there could be more to pay attention to at All-Star Weekend than we think.
