Zion Williamson is probably the most hyped NBA rookie since LeBron James. The New Orleans Pelicans star got his first opportunity to face King James last night.

He didn't disappoint. Williamson went off for 29 points, six rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes. Even though the Pels lost the game 118-109, he left a major impression.

As for James, well he was his usual standout self. LeBron put up a 40-8-6 stat line, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. Just another day's work for him.

After the game, TNT's Chris Haynes made sure to ask LeBron for his thoughts on Zion. Clearly, he came away impressed with the precocious first-year pro.

"The kid is special. We all know that," James said. "Every game is going to be another opportunity for him to get better."

Like LeBron, Zion is already establishing himself as a must-watch player early in his career. He's continued to be a human highlight reel in the professional ranks.

It will be fun watching him develop over the next couple of years and potentially take the torch from LeBron as the face of the league.
