Philadelphia 76ers star Jimmy Butler is a soon-to-be free agent. The Sixers may re-sign Butler, but there is a possibility that he lands elsewhere, especially following an Instagram post that sent some fans into a panic,
According to the New York Post, the Brooklyn Nets are expected to be in the running for Butler when he becomes available. The Nets are also expected to be in the running for top impending free agents Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Per the report, the Nets have a bit of a history with Butler. They were one of several teams that attempted to get him in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves last year.
Sports books seem to like the Nets chances of getting him too. They are currently installed as +700 underdogs behind Philadelphia (-175), Houston (+500), and the Knicks (+600).
