There’s a new twist in the Kyrie Irving saga this afternoon.
According to ESPN’s Pablo Torre, Kyrie Irving “very badly” wants to be a New York Knick.
Irving had previously reportedly told the Cleveland Cavaliers that he wanted to play for either the Knicks, the Miami Heat, the Minnesota Timberwolves, or the San Antonio Spurs.
The 25-year-old star guard grew up in New Jersey.
“Kyrie Irving wants to come home,” Torre said on First Take earlier today.

Published reports have indicated that Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony would rather head to the Houston Rockets instead of the Cavs, but if he’s willing to go to Cleveland, the path might be opened for Irving to come to Manhattan.
Of course, this could all be nonsense, and Kyrie could be headed out West.
Only time will tell.
