76ers Fan Who Flipped Off Russell Westbrook Identified, Issues Apology

The 76ers fan who flipped off Russell Westbrook on Wednesday night has been identified.

During the 76ers' season opener against the Thunder on Wednesday night, a 76ers fan flipped off Russell Westbrook and was later ejected from the game. That fan's name is Richard Harkaway and he is a local urologist, according to Philly.com.

Harkaway issued this statement on Thursday:

"As a part-time comedian I realize that my words and actions are sometimes inappropriate. In this instance, after standing up to boo and being provoked by Russell Westbrook calling attention to my being overweight, my action in response was clearly inexcusable and I am embarrassed. I sincerely apologize to my fellow Sixers fans, the Sixers organization, my colleagues and patients, and to Mr. Westbrook for my behavior."

Philly.com also dug up some personal records on Harkaway which show the doctor has a $1.3 million condo at Trump Place in Manhattan.
