Philadelphia 76ers star Jimmy Butler is likely set to become a free agent in just a few weeks. Let’s take a look at where he could land this summer.
Butler, who has a player option for next season but likely won’t take it, has played for three teams (Bulls, Timberwolves, 76ers) since 2017. Odds suggest he won’t be adding a fourth.
Odds Shark reports that the 76ers will be a huge favorite to retain Butler. The Rockets, Knicks, Nets, Clippers, Lakers, Bulls and Heat are all listed as options.
While Houston is listed with the second-best odds, it’s unclear how the Rockets would make it happen. They’re committed to James Harden, Chris Paul, and Clint Capela moving forward. They’d have to maybe move one of them.
What team will Jimmy Butler be on for the 2019-2020 NBA season?

The Knicks are an interesting option as well, but many, including ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, believes that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving could be headed to New York. They likely wouldn’t be able to land all three.
The Nets actually seem the most likely option other than the 76ers.
NBA free agency starts in July.
