Look: Jaxson Hayes Ejected After Ridiculous Foul

Jaxson Hayes fouls Jae Crowder.

ESPN.

During the first half of the Pelicans-Suns game on Friday night, Jaxson Hayes was ejected because of a reckless foul on Jae Crowder.

Hayes was crashing the boards when he decided to just plow through Crowder. After further review, Hayes was assessed a flagrant 2.

The timing of this situation was quite interesting. Just a few plays before, Suns guard Landry Shamet dunked on Hayes. It's possible he let his emotions get the best of him in the second quarter.

Hayes had four points and six rebounds before the ejection. His ejection may have swung the game in the Suns' favor, as they went on to outscore the Pelicans by 12 points in the second quarter.

It's unclear at this time if the league will discipline Hayes for this rough foul.

In this first-round series, Hayes is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.

Game 4 between the Pelicans and Suns will tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
