While fans have to wait a few more months for the NBA season to officially kick off, the hardcore fans can catch a glimpse of their team’s future in the Summer League.
The Summer League pits the recent draft picks against other recent entries to the NBA.
Perhaps the biggest – literally – story of the Summer League is Boston Celtics forward Tacko Fall. If he makes a roster, Fall immediately becomes the tallest player in the NBA, and it isn’t particularly close.
Fall stands 7-foot-7 and can reach the rim while standing flat-footed.
Earlier this week, a photo of Fall and one of his teammates went viral. It showcases just how massive Fall is, even for an NBA player.
Fall ran the floor with point guard Carsen Edwards – who stood just over 5-foot-10 at the NBA combine.
The height different between the two is staggering.

Fall is nearly two feet taller than Edwards. Couple that with the fact that Edwards is hunched in the photo and you get a massive difference in size between the two players.
Fall and Edwards have been two of the best stories of the Summer League. Both have been standouts for the Celtics on the floor as they attempt to make the team.
