The Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers have tipped off in ABC’s national NBA game of the day.
The Sixers, boasting their new starting lineup of Ben Simmons-JJ Redick-Jimmy Butler-Tobias Harris-Joel Embiid, will look to continue to build momentum heading into the All-Star break.
The Lakers, meanwhile, are boasting a new starting lineup, too. Los Angeles has added sharpshooter Reggie Bullock at the trade deadline and he’s starting this afternoon.
The crowd in Philadelphia this afternoon is a good one and it features a couple of special guests, too.
The New England Patriots’ owner, Robert Kraft, is sitting courtside with Lakers’ president of basketball operations, Magic Johnson.
It’s quite the duo.

Kraft has a relationship with the Sixers’ ownership and one of their biggest fans in Meek Mill, who supported the Patriots at the Super Bowl.
The Lakers and the Sixers are a couple of minutes into the first quarter. Los Angeles has taken an early lead over Philadelphia.
The game is being televised on ABC.
