President Obama, a Chicago sports fan, welcomed the Cavs to the White House today.
The 2015-2016 NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers visited the White House today, as is customary for championship-winning teams, and President Obama gave a pretty awesome speech honoring the Cavaliers on their incredible season. The whole thing is worth watching—he's a pretty funny guy!—but the best part is below:
Oof. Were you aware the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the finals? I sure wasn't. I'm glad he mentioned that little factoid, because certainly no one else was aware of it either. At any rate, it's pretty savage of him to rub salt in the wound by announcing straight-up that the 1996 Bulls were a better team than the 2016 Warriors because of it.
Also, let's all just take a moment to congratulate JR Smith on finally wearing a shirt.
