Report: Blake Griffin Is A 'Primary Target' For The Celtics

Boston is reportedly a serious possible destination for the star forward.

Blake Griffin could be sporting green and white in 2017-18.

According to a report by The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics are going to go hard after the Los Angeles Clippers' star in free agency this summer.

Griffin is going to be a "primary target" for Danny Ainge's team, along with Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward, who's expected to also draw interest from Miami.

"Boston is really the danger for Blake Griffin," Wojnarowski said in his podcast. "I think Boston's two primary free agent targets, right now, are Gordon Hayward and Blake Griffin. Now they're not going to get both of them, but they're both players that would potentially have interest there. I think Boston looks at in different ways with their future."

Griffin is going to be a free agent for the first time in his career starting on July 1.

The 28-year-old Oklahoma native has dealt with some injuries over the last couple of years, but when healthy, he's an All-NBA player.
