Here’s who Cleveland would like to land in a Kyrie Irving trade.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski updated today the state of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ attempts to trade Kyrie Irving.
Wojnarowski reports the Cavs are having difficultly moving Irving because of the uncertainty surrounding LeBron James’ future in Cleveland. If James is unwilling to commit past the 2017-18 season, why would Cleveland want anything other than promising young talent in return for the All-Star point guard?
ESPN is now reporting that Cleveland is “fixating” on these four players in exchange for Irving.
The Cavaliers find themselves far more fixated on a young star, including New York’s Kristaps Porzingis, Boston’s Jayson Tatum, Phoenix’s Josh Jackson and Denver’s Jamal Murray, league sources told ESPN.
ESPN reports that Cleveland expects trade talks to ramp up in September.
