The 2017-18 NBA season is over. It ended with the Golden State Warriors sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals to record their third championship in four years.

Now, all eyes shift to the offseason festivities.

The NBA draft is just a few days away, while NBA free agency opens soon thereafter. Most of the attention will be paid to LeBron James, but there are several other big-name free agents out there this summer.

Among them is Paul George, who most expect with leave for Los Angeles. However, Marc Stein made it clear the Oklahoma City Thunder have a good shot at re-signing George.

Here's what Stein had to say, via Thunder Wire:

There is a growing belief around the league that Oklahoma City has a far better chance to retain the free agent-to-be Paul George than many believed when the Thunder crashed out of the first round of the playoffs.

As George prepares to field the Lakers’ long-anticipated interest, his willingness to post an Instagram picture of himself last month from a hospital bed after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee has helped to fuel the notion in some corners that he’s in no rush to leave OKC.

George was second on the team in scoring during the 2017-18 season after signing with the team on a one-year deal.

Although the season wasn't as successful as was anticipated when the team acquired both George and Carmelo Anthony, there is a belief that George could come back.
