The Sacramento Kings picked up four big-time college stars in the NBA Draft. All will be wearing new numbers.
Guards De'Aaron Fox (Kentucky) and Frank Mason III (Kansas) each wore No. 0 during their impressive college careers.
With new teammate Willie Cauley-Stein rocking No. 00 for the Kings, Fox will be taking No. 5, while Mason will be in No. 15, his old number at Petersburg High School. Mason's number was recently worn by former Kings star DeMarcus Cousins, before his trade to New Orleans.
Harry Giles, No. 1 at Duke, will be wearing No. 20 for the Kings, and reigning ACC Player of the Year Justin Jackson is switching from his UNC No. 44 to No. 25 for Sacramento.
The team announced the numbers on Twitter moments ago.
Giles and Jackson's numbers appear to be available, based on the current Kings roster, so it looks like they probably made the new choices themselves.
Sacramento got some rare good press for the 2017 draft class, which college fans will definitely be familiar with, as three of the four players were bona fide stars at that level, and Giles played at Duke and was a top recruit.
