Fox Sports pundit Skip Bayless is a diehard fan of Manny Pacquiao and the San Antonio Spurs. But he saw both of those worlds collide partially when one of his “favorite” former Spurs players was in attendance at the Pacquiao-Thurman fight yesterday.
Kawhi Leonard and some of his family members were in attendance at the fight, as was Bayless, and they were apparently not too far from each other.
Bayless has a lot of resentment against Kawhi for how he ended his relationship with the Spurs before joining the Toronto Raptors. He has consistently referred to Kawhi only as “No. 2” in all tweets and hot takes.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Bayless revealed that Kawhi’s uncle actually approached him. He stated that contrary to Bayless’ decision to call him “No. 2,” the uncle said, “His name is Kawhi Leonard.”
No. 2 is sitting not far from me. His Uncle Dennis just came over and introduced himself. Laughing, he said, “His name is Kawhi Leonard.” Nice about it. But he’ll always be No. 2 to me.

But Bayless didn’t seem to care much for being called out by Kawhi’s uncle, stating that Kawhi will “always be No. 2 to me.”
So there you have it: Kawhi Leonard will henceforth only ever be referred to as “No. 2” by Skip Bayless.
Of course, if Kawhi ever returns to Skip’s beloved Spurs, he’ll no doubt reconsider that pledge.
Kawhi entered free agency this summer and signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, influencing the team to secure a trade for Paul George in the process.
