Bob Myers, the longtime general manager and president of the Golden State Warriors, stepped down Tuesday. Stephen Curry commemorated the end of an era.

In a string of Instagram Stories posts (h/t Bleacher Report), the Warriors superstar posted photos of him and Myers embracing and posing with trophies. Curry also shared a touching message.

"Before the trophies and the memories over this run, I remember I told you, 'You better get it right!' And you did," Curry wrote. "The GM role was great and you did your thing, but forever grateful for you as a friend forever. [We] Changed each other's lives! Enjoy the next chapter."

While Curry predated Myers at Golden State, the general manager began his run by drafting Draymond Green with a second-round pick in 2012. Two years later, he made the bold call to replace head coach Mark Jackson with Steve Kerr.

The Warriors have since won four championships, two with free-agent signee Kevin Durant, in six NBA Finals appearances.

When speaking to reporters Tuesday, Myers recalled Curry telling him his decision to leave hurt, but he understood. Myers praised the two-time MVP's character.

"You can’t overstate who he is," Myers said of Curry, per Warriors on NBC Sports. "When I talk to him, it’s so rare of somebody of his caliber to be who he is. I think people know him for what he does, but how lucky is this organization to have him as its leader? And for me to get to watch him be that guy for my whole time here? What a gift to me, and that’s one I could never repay, ever."
