There's been plenty of welcome surprises to this young NBA season. But the most disappointing aspect has been the downfall of the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Durant is now with the Brooklyn Nets. Klay Thompson is out for the season as he recovers from an ACL tear.

But the Warriors signed SG D'Angelo Russell in the off-season, leading many to believe the team would adapt just fine. After all, Steph Curry and Draymond Green still play for Golden State.

Disaster struck on Wednesday night though when Curry suffered a broken hand. Less than 24 hours later, the All-Star guard posted an uplifting message on social media.

Check out his post below.

Despite the injury, Curry is all smiles. And his "Be back soon!" message is certainly optimistic.

Golden State is 1-3 to start the season. It'll be extremely tough to turn things around without Curry on the court.

The Warriors will have to rely on Russell and Green to grind out wins. But it won't be easy. Golden State has been the team to beat for some time now and teams are wanting revenge.

Without Curry, it'll be difficult for the Warriors to get to the playoffs this season. Let's hope he can have a full recovery.
