Steve Kerr Reveals What Klay Thompson Told Him After Knee Injury

Klay Thompson exited tonight's Game 6 loss with a left knee injury. He was quickly declared out for the game shortly after entering the locker room.

When Thompson left the court, ABC cameras captured him trying to run in the tunnel and jump on his leg. It appeared like he at least wanted to return to the game.

However, he was seen shortly thereafter leaving Oracle Arena on crutches. Video of Thompson's departure was quite sobering.

After the game, all Warriors head coach Steve Kerr would say is that his star shooting guard had suffered "a knee injury." He shared some interesting background info on what Thompson told him after getting hurt.

Apparently, he had every intention of coming back in.

In the moment, of course Thompson wanted to return. However, you have to think the Warriors wanted to be a little cautious here.

Also, who is to say that once the adrenaline wore off a little, he didn't realize he was hurting more than he thought?

Hopefully whatever Thompson's knee injury is, it isn't too serious.
