The Golden State Warriors are hosting Game 3 of the NBA Finals tonight, and the team is pulling out all the stops to make it memorable for the fans. The national anthem alone is poised to be a performance that nobody in attendance will ever forget.
Prior to the game, the Warriors revealed that legendary heavy metal band Metallica will be performing the national anthem. The Warriors also announced that country artist Tenille Arts would be performing the Canadian national anthem.
Footage from the Warriors’ NBC affiliate showed the heavy metal band practicing the anthem in the Oracle Arena. Lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and band co-founder James Hetfield were practicing the notes and so far it sounds amazing.

The nine-time Grammy Award winning band will get fans warmed up for what is expected to be a very intense Game 3.
The Warriors and Toronto Raptors are tied at 1-1, but the Warriors are likely going to be without star shooting guard Klay Thompson.
Golden State has lost only two home games during the NBA playoffs, and went the entire Conference Semifinals and Conference Finals unbeaten at Oracle Arena.
However, they lost their regular season home game against the Raptors, losing by 20 points – and that was with a healthy Thompson and Kevin Durant.
The Warriors will certainly be hoping that Metallica can serve as a good luck charm for them tonight.
Game 3 is set to tip off at 9 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
