At this point of the year it's usually quiet in NBA, but the Warriors have just made a significant move to their staff. The franchise is bringing back a familiar face in Zaza Pachulia.

Pachulia will rejoin the Warriors for this upcoming season, however, it'll be a different role for the two-time champion.

With Pachulia's playing days in the NBA coming to an end, the 35-year-old is transitioning over to a new position. He'll now help the team from a managerial standpoint.

The Warriors are hiring Pachulia to be a team consultant, per NBA insider Marc Stein.

Golden State is also promoting Mike Dunleavy Jr. to assistant general manager.

The official announcement regarding this promotion and addition were addressed in this statement.

Pachulia is expected to help the team as a consultant on the business and basketball aspect of operations.

Although Golden State has lost a few veterans this offseason, it must be refreshing for the franchise to welcome back Pachulia.

It'll be an interesting year for the Warriors as they no longer have Kevin Durant, who signed a long-term deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Warriors are one of the most functional teams in the NBA. We'll see if the addition of Pachulia can take them to the next level.
