Drake often catches heat for his rapidly-changing sports fandoms. However, no one can knock him for what he wore at today’s Raptors game. The franchise won its first Game 1 in history today, and Drake, the team ambassador, was in a Humboldt Jersey, to pay homage to the Canadian junior hockey league team after last week’s tragic bus crash.
The Raptors are the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, after a great season under Dwane Casey. They hosted the No. 8 seed Washington Wizards in Game 1 today. Washington gave Toronto a run throughout the game, but the Raptors pulled it out, winning Game 1 114-106.
As usual, Drake was courtside was the Raptors playoff game. Everyone should appreciate his wardrobe choice.

The Humboldt Broncos are a junior hockey league team in Canada, that suffered a horrific bus crash this week.
The team’s bus collided with a semi-trailed while on the way to a playoff series. 14 of the 29 people on the bus were killed upon the crash, with two more dying in the hospital.
The Toronto Raptors released a statement about the tragedy after it occurred last Friday night.
“Thinking of the Humboldt Broncos and our friends in the hockey community at this terrible time. From Toronto to the Prairies, our thoughts and prayers are with you.”
Drake himself posted a “Humboldt Strong” message to Instagram. It featured a picture of him from today’s game.
The GoFundMe campaign for the Humboldt Broncos is nearing $11.5 million, as of this writing. Hopefully Drake’s game day attire helps bring even more awareness to that effort.
