This isn’t good.
San Antonio Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard missed the entire preseason with left quadriceps tendinopathy, and he also didn’t make an appearance in the season-opener versus the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. There’s still no timetable for his return, but if this video of him boarding the team plane is any indication…it might not be soon.

It’s entirely possible he’s just sore from a rehab session or something, and it’s also entirely possible that he’s just being super careful, but it still doesn’t look good.
The Spurs will be fine without the 26-year-old for now, but they’re not going to take dethrone the Golden State Warriors without Leonard.
For now, let’s just hope the guy is able to get healthy.
