Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is one of the most outspoken and animated executives in sports, so it should come as no surprise that he was just as stunned as all of us when the NBA announced it was suspending its season.

In a video that is currently going viral, Cuban can be seen receiving the message from the league. His immediate reaction included a jaw drop before reeling his head back in shock. Cuban then rushes over to his team's bench to give them the news.

The NBA announced that it was suspending the season after Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. That diagnosis quickly caused a Jazz-Thunder game to be postponed and then suspended on the spot.

The announcement comes just hours after the NBA announced that the Golden State Warriors would play in front of an empty stadium during home games due to a recent ban on large gatherings in San Francisco.

Across the world we're seeing leagues making huge changes in direct response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Italy has shut down all sports. Many leagues are playing games in front of empty stadiums. Upcoming events and practices are being cancelled.

It may only be a matter of time before all sporting events are cancelled until this dangerous virus is defeated.
