Kevin Durant has not played since Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals due to a calf strain. With the Warriors on the brink of losing the NBA Finals, his status has been updated.
After reportedly participating in practice in some form today, Durant has been officially listed as questionable for Game 5 tomorrow night in Toronto. This is the first time he hasn’t been declared out for a game since his injury.
Of course, there is no guarantee Durant plays. This might just be wishful thinking or gamesmanship on Golden State’s part.
But for now, him being categorized as “questionable” leaves open the possibility of him seeing action Monday night.

Without Durant, the Warriors had no problem finishing off the Houston Rockets and sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers to get to the NBA Finals. However, the Toronto Raptors have proven a much tougher foe.
Led by Kawhi Leonard, Toronto has taken a 3-1 lead in the series, including a pair of victories at Oracle Arena. They are returning home tomorrow with a chance to bring the NBA title to Canada for the first time ever.
As we’ve seen before, 3-1 leads are not insurmountable in the finals. However, Golden State has looked over-matched without Durant, so their only hope might be to see him return starting tomorrow.
